School Resumption: FG Can Order Re-opening of Schools Nationwide With These Five Method

So many people have been complaining about the total lockdown of schools, places of worship, businesses Nationwide. The cases of covid-19 in Nigeria is increasing Rapidly day by day. Just yesterday the Nigeria center of disease control announced 745 new cases of covid-19 with 6 death and 340 recovered.

It is going about three ( 3 ) months since the total closure of schools accross all states in the country.

In this article I will highlight my opinion and methods in which the federal government can use to order reopening of schools Nationwide.

The Federal Government ordered the total shut down of all schools in the country following the outbreak of the deadly virus in the country. Schools are to remain closed as preventive measures against the spread of the virus.

I think with these five methods of mine the federal government can order Reopening of Schools Nationwide. Here are the five methods below:

1) Lectures

Schools should be directed to divide the learning sessions into Morning and Afternoon. Those who attend the morning class won't be attending the afternoon class.

The morning lessons period will be by 7am to 12am and afternoon lessons will be by 1am to 6pm. That is, every lesson ( morning and afternoon period ) will be 5 hours daily.

2) Facemask

Every student should be mandated to wear Facemask always. Each student should be used to wearing face mask to schools.

3) Social Distancing

Each student must observe social distances in their sitting arrangement. Even when writing exams and test each student must practice social distancing. In every Examination hall there should not be more than 60 persons in each hall.

4) School disinfecting

All schools should be instructed to make a running tap water with hand sanitizers available at the entrance of the school and at the entrance of all the class rooms. All schools should disinfect their surrounding.

5) Schools Activities

Extra curricular activities such as inter house sport, debate, competitions should be suspended to curb the spread of this deadly virus.
