Five Things Girls Should Avoid During Menstruation

Image
Menstruation, or period, is normal vaginal bleeding that occurs as part of a woman's monthly cycle. Every month, your body prepares for pregnancy. If no pregnancy occurs, the uterus, or womb, sheds its lining. The menstrual blood is partly blood and partly tissue from inside the uterus. 1. Don't drink cold/sparkling water during menstruation. 2. Avoid applying shampoo on the head cause the pores of head are open during period & cause a headache so it's very dangerous & this can be cut when you're young or later when you get older. 3. Avoid eating cucumbers during period cause sap in the cucumber may block period (blood loss)in the uterine wall&may cause sterility. 4. Your body shouldn't be hit by hard objects specially the abdomen as it can cause vomiting & uterus can be injured. 5. Drinking ice during period can cause menstrual blood to remain in the uterine wall after (5_10)years can cause "uterine or tumor cancer"

But Barcelona said in a statement their captain has re-joined “the rest of the team in the week of the return to competition in the Spanish league”. Asked if Messi would be able to face Mallorca, Barca coach Quique Setien told Movistar on Sunday night: “Messi is not the only one that has not trained and felt some discomfort. “It’s what has happened to everyone or practically everyone since they have been back. “It is some minor tightness and we have it under control. He is doing perfectly and will not have any problem.” Setien also gave an update on the fitness of Luis Suarez, who has been given the green light by the club to return after undergoi

He said that the ministry had received the report of the Ministerial Task Team which visited Kano to support the COVID-19 response with commodities, training, technical and confidence building measures. COVID-19: We can only reopen schools on medical advice — Emeka Nwajiuba

Image
Minister of State Education, Hon. Emeka Nwajiuba who dismissed social media reports regarding when schools would be reopened said the government would only do that when medical experts give the nod to so do. Nwajiuba disclosed this on Monday in Abuja during the daily briefing of the Presidential Taskforce PTF on Covid-19. He said; “You had about neighbouring countries that reopened and shut down again. You have heard about numbers spiking as a result of reopening the schools. Of all the things I would like to do, I wouldn’t want to experiment with your children. “What we are planning is to actually bring in those exit years first as soon as those who are in charge of the blockade lift it because there is no way we can open our schools if teachers cannot come. So, we are looking at somewhere after when this interstate lockdown is lifted because we need to have that kind of openness for even the children to move”, he said. Okonjo-Iweala’s Appointment: Kudos to Buhari

Image
In one week, President Muhammadu Buhari scored two mesmerizing goals that upped the ante for his party and government. First was his support for Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, President of the Africa Development Bank (AfDB), which invariably changed the game for a man, who had been rattled over a probe instigated by the US Government and soon after, he nominated Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to enter into the contest for head of the World Trade Organisation. For a race many had deemed a walkover for Britain’s Lord Peter Mandelson, a tested warhorse of several high profile battles, Okonjo-Iweala’s nomination as a heavyweight African contestant, is currently unsettling the turf and making it a lot more interesting. Indeed, there’s a huge lessons in leaders to always present their best in all things. When they make meritocrazy the foundation of their choices, then, mediocrity takes the back seat. While it is not given that Okonjo-Iweala would win, her choice definitely represents a different mindset an

As this next segment of the history of black man’s struggle for freedom and justice unfolds before our eyes, your ever-proactive Vanguard’s Arts & Reviews takes you through the important milestones, as well as updates, of this struggle.
