Oyo inaugurates tertiary institutions’ governing councils



Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has constituted the governing councils of tertiary institutions owned by the state as well as that of the waste management board.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Taiwo Adisa, made this known in a statement on Tuesday.

The statement named the governing councils members for The Polytechnic, Ibadan; Oke Ogun Polytechnic; Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa; and the Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo, among others.

According to Adisa, Mr Seun Adelore will continue to chair the board of the state’s Waste Management Agency. Other members of the board are Mr Johnson Ojebiyi, Mr Azeez Adeoti, Apostle Moses Lamunyegun, Mr Salawudeen Abiola, Ayuba Akinsola, Mr Lukman Adesina, Mr Isiaka Aliu, Mrs Bola Oguntona, Mr Yusuf Sarafa and Mr Shuaibu Oladayo.

The nominees of the different ministries on the board are Dr Olubunmi Ayinde, Mr Alao Maruf, Mrs Oluseun Areo Bukola, Seun Raji and Mr Segun Olakoju.

The chairmen of the governing councils of the state-owned tertiary institutions are Dr Ogundiran Ogunwale (Ibarapa Polytechnic, Eruwa); Prof. Matthew Odedokun (Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo); Dr Bisi Ojebola (College of Education, Lanlate); Prof. Sunday Adesola (Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki); Prof. Lateef Sanni (Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igbo Ora); and Prof. Kunle Akinyemi (The Polytechnic, Ibadan).
