Former Governor Of Oyo State, Late Abiola Ajimobi Laid To Rest Today, 28th June 2020
The remains of former governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, have been laid to rest within his Yemoja Street, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan residence.
It was learnt that the body of the late Deputy National Chairman (South) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), who was confirmed dead last Thursday from complications arising from COVID-19, was interred at exactly 10.05 am.
It was gathered that the brief ceremony had less than 20 people in attendance.
However at 12 noon, prayers would be offered for the repose of his soul at the Senator Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi Mosque, Oke-Ado, Ibadan.
Recall that Abiola Ajimobi the former Governor of Oyo state is dead, he reportedly died in Lagos today June 25, 2020 due to coronavirus complications and other underlying medical conditions.
The 70 years old two term Governor of State who was also an then-senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Ajimobi, who had been on a life support machine at First Cardiology Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos, after slipping into a coma following Coronavirus complications, died on Thursday.
Former Governor of Oyo State, late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, was a warm-hearted, caring and thorough man, he was a good father, teacher, mentor and consummate Chief Executive.
He is the undisputed architect of modern Oyo, a strategist and achiever without peer.
He is a great Man, Oyo State will Miss Him Greatly.
