BREAKING: Nigerian govt reduces pump price of petrol

The Nigerian government has announced a slight reduction in the pump price of petrol.

The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) gave the new approval.

The latest directive was contained in a circular to fuel marketers.

A 2 Naira band has been removed from the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

One litre will now sell for between N121.50 to N123.50.

The PPPRA had on March 31 fixed a price band of N123.50 to N125 per litre.

Following the on-going claims about the involvement of some PDP stalwarts to alleged fraudster, Hushpuppi, Dino Melaye has reacted.  Dino Melaye, Hushpuppi Due to the on-going claims by the APC accusing some members of the PDP over their alleged involvement with suspected fraudster, Hushpuppi, Senator Dino Melaye has said he will not glorify the ruling party, APC, with a response over claims made by the party. Over the weekend, the deputy National Spokesperson of the APC, Yekini Nabena, released a statement in which he called on EFCC and other security agencies to investigate the links between Hushpuppi and some PDP stalwarts. After the death of former Oyo state governor on Thursday, it was expected that he would be buried within 24 hours according to Islamic rites. But surpringly, the funeral rites of ex Senator and Governor, and has been postponed by the family. The postponement was announced by Bolaji Tunji, a spokesperson for the family of the deseased. According to the Nation Newspaper, Tunji told reporters in his Oluyole, Ibadan residence on Friday morning that the family would soon make an announcement of the burial programme.
